Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I suppose

Even the Pope, who has declared that IVF violates human dignity. Read more here.

I'm not Catholic, so I don't have to pay any attention to this nasty rhetoric . . . but still. Am I the only one who thinks lumping IVF in with the creation of human-animal hybrids might be a bit of an overreach? Is this reaching the world with the truth? Eye on the ball, people.

Love one another. Always.

this is the kind of stuff that drives me crazy that i just can't take. i don't understand how ivf is different from other medical treatments like organ transplant, for example. people seem to get bent out of shape because it may produce a human. it is still made from human eggs and sperm. it doesn't make any sense.

in MI we passed an embryonic stem cell research law with the last elections and we had to repeatedly watch commercials about how the "liberals" wanted to have the options to create some type of a goat-human or something. seriously? please.

ok. enough. sorry to rant in your comments.

it just drives me crazy.

Thanks for posting on my blog - I just caught up on your story and I am sorry that you are on the same ride as me.

I hope this cycle is successful!

Wondering if the Pope has ever dealt with the excruciating pain of IF?

Doubtful.

I hear ya girl! I AM Catholic and I have dismissed the whole Catholic opinion on IVF as BS. People might not agree with me, but I do tend to pick and chose what I want to listen to at church, and although it has only ever come up once (and I walked out in the middle) that method seems to work just fine. Granted I haven't gone to church since I got pregnant, but oh well!

Totally ridiculous!
