To foil, or not to foil -- that is the question

I learned the hard way that I couldn't have my highlights touched up during my 2ww -- my IVF coordinator shot that one down. Seemed like a good plan to me, oh well. So, now I really do need to have these highlights dealt with before we get geared back up. I assume it's okay right now, since all I'm on are BCPs? What in the world could it hurt? Easier to ask forgiveness than permission?

Share your wisdom, por favor.

Get that highlight! The only way it can enter your blood stream is through your scalp and with highlighting it doesn't touch your scalp. JMO! big hugs :)

Every doctor is different. Mine says that I should feel and look pretty and if I want to get my hair highlighted then it's perfectly fine. I think most docs say don't do things so you can't blame yourself if something goes wrong/doesn't work out, etc. I say go get your wig did!

I just went last week :) I'm on BCPs now. Technically, using the foil means that it doesn't really touch your scalp...so it's supposed to be safer, but i always try to go before a cycle starts.

..if i get pregnant then i will just look like a freak for awhile....

maybe i'll consider a wig. :)

Go for it! I think it'd be fine on the bcps.

Yikes. I think I got my highlights during my 2WW. Ooops. You should be just fine while on BCPs.

BTW - I tagged you for a photo treasure hunt (sorry!) - check my post for details.
